Pesticide Control

Zero-Tolerance Pesticide Residue Policy

Our pesticide residue management program is one of the most rigorous in the industry. We implement a multi-stage monitoring system that begins at the farm level and continues through processing and final product testing.

Pre-harvest soil and water testing
Approved pesticide list strictly enforced
Post-harvest residue testing by accredited labs
Full batch traceability documentation
Third-party verification available
Certificate of Analysis (CoA) with every shipment
Quality Testing

Multi-Stage Quality Control

1
Stage 1: Farm Inspection
Soil testing, irrigation water quality assessment, and pre-harvest crop inspection by our agronomists.
2
Stage 2: Post-Harvest Testing
Pesticide residue analysis, heavy metals screening, and comprehensive microbiological analysis.
3
Stage 3: Processing Control
Temperature, humidity, and contamination controls during drying, sorting, and cutting operations.
4
Stage 4: Final Product Testing
Full specification verification — cut size, moisture, color, aroma, and microbiology — before packaging.
5
Stage 5: Shipment Documentation
Certificate of Analysis, phytosanitary certificate, and all required export documents prepared per destination.

Processing & Sterilization Methods

Q-Spice employs state-of-the-art processing technologies to ensure the safety and quality of every product.

STEAM TREATMENT

Utilizing a machine called an autoclave, all bacteria, viruses and fungal spores are effectively destroyed by a combination of air pressure and superheated water. This strategy is so effective, that it is used by hospitals to turn highly pathogenic waste material, into a harmless by-product that can be disposed of safely in landfill. Steam sterilization does this while actually avoiding the higher temperatures needed by dry methods, to protect more sensitive ingredients. In fact, ingredients that are steam sterilized for a mere 3 minutes, at 275 °F can achieve the same degree of sterility as hot, dry air methods used for two hours at 320 °F. For suitable ingredients, steam treatment represents the cutting edge in organic compatible sterilization techniques, while not requiring the use of any hazardous materials unpopular with consumers (like synthetic chemicals or radiation).

DRY HEAT METHOD

Unfortunately, there are some ingredients (such as powders) where the use of steam treatment is not practical. Normally this would mean the use of a much longer, hotter method of dry heat. Q SPICE S.A.E, takes advantage of a more advanced rapid dry method that uses a raised temperature, combined with forced ventilation to be able to get all of the benefits of dry heat, with a faster turn around time.

MAGNET FILTERS — 16,000 GAUSS

Q-Spice operates a 16,000-gauss ultra-high-strength rotary cleanflow magnet separator — twice the magnetic field intensity of the industry standard (8,000–13,000 gauss). At 16,000 gauss, the separator captures ferrous particles, AISI 304 and AISI 316 stainless steel fragments, and paramagnetic metal contaminants down to 30 μm in size, even from low-flowing fatty or sticky herb and spice powders. The magnet rotor comprises 7 powerful bars fitted with Neodymium-Iron-Boron magnets, each 32 mm in diameter. This exceptional field strength ensures complete removal of metallic impurities that weaker magnets miss — delivering product purity that exceeds EU and FDA standards and protects every customer's production line from contamination.

METAL DETECTOR (SAFELINE)

To ensure the purity of our products and protect them from mineral contaminants, we have installed a Safeline Metal Detector system from Safe Line Company on our production line. This includes Safeline Metal Detector placed both before the crushing stage and at the end of the production line, right before final packaging. These filters are specifically designed to remove foreign metal impurities—both ferrous and non-ferrous particles—within a range of 0.2 to 1.0 mm in size. This investment in filtration technology is part of our commitment to delivering the highest quality herbs and spices, free from metallic contamination, to our customers.

16,000-Gauss Magnet Separator

16,000 gauss is not just a number — it is twice the magnetic field intensity of industry-standard separators. Our ultra-high-strength rotary cleanflow magnet captures metallic particles as small as 30 μm, including ferrous fragments, AISI 304 and AISI 316 stainless steel particles, and paramagnetic contaminants. Even in low-flowing, fatty herb powders where weaker magnets fail, our 16,000-gauss system delivers complete metal removal — ensuring product purity that exceeds EU and FDA standards on every single batch.

Q-Spice Farm Origin

Eastern Desert, Egypt — Zero-Pollution Farming

Q-Spice farms are located deep in the Eastern Desert of Egypt, in the New Valley Governorate — 600 kilometers from Cairo, inside a mountain range far from any source of pollution. This extreme isolation means our herbs and spices grow in an environment completely free from industrial contamination, pesticide drift, and urban pollutants. The surrounding mountains act as a natural barrier, shielding the crops from any external contaminants before they even reach our processing facility. This is not just clean farming — it is farming in one of the most pristine, untouched environments on earth, where purity begins in the soil.
